I strongly believe that road construction should take place at night because it would make daily travel easier for commuters and help the project finish on schedule. One of the main reasons I prefer this option is that carrying out construction work at night would make daily travel much easier for thousands of commuters.

Every weekday, Douglas Street becomes extremely busy as people travel to offices, schools, hospitals, and shopping centres. If construction took place during the day, lane closures would create long queues, forcing drivers to spend extra time on the road and consume more fuel.

In contrast, traffic is much lighter after midnight, allowing construction crews to repair the roads without interrupting residents' normal routines. Another significant reason I support Option B is that working overnight would help the construction company complete the project on schedule.

Since there are far fewer vehicles on the road, heavy machinery can operate continuously without frequent interruptions caused by traffic management. Furthermore, completing the project on time means residents, local businesses, and public transport services can return to their normal schedules much sooner. Overall, Option B is clearly the more efficient, practical, and community-friendly choice. Although daytime construction offers better visibility for workers, completing the work at night would reduce inconvenience for commuters and help the project finish on time.
