Simple Present, Simple Past & Simple Future Tenses
Before You Begin
Choose the correct tense by looking for time words in the sentence.
Simple Present → Used for habits, routines, facts, and things that happen regularly. Common clues: every day, usually, always, often, sometimes, never, on Mondays.
Simple Past → Used for actions that happened and finished in the past. Common clues: yesterday, last week, last month, ago, in 2024, this morning (if finished).
Simple Future → Used for actions that will happen in the future. Common clues: tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, soon, later, will.
Quick Tip !
✔️ Look for the time expression first. It often tells you which tense to use before you even read the verb.
