  • Use a full stop (.) to end a complete statement.
  • Use a comma (,) to separate items in a list and after introductory words.
  • Use a question mark (?) after direct questions.
  • Use an exclamation mark (!) to express strong feelings or excitement.
  • Use an apostrophe (‘) to show possession or contractions.
  • Always begin a sentence with a capital letter.

Always check that every sentence starts with a capital letter, ends with the correct punctuation mark, and uses commas and apostrophes correctly.
