Simple Past โ†’ Actions completed in the past.
Simple Future (will) โ†’ Predictions, promises and future plans.
Check the time expressions carefully (e.g. every weekend, last Saturday, next month).
Make sure every verb agrees with its subject.

Always identify the time expressions first. They usually tell you which tense to use.

๐Ÿ”ต Simple Past โ†’ yesterday, last week, last Saturday, last month, ago
๐ŸŸ  Simple Future โ†’ tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, in the future
โœ… Read the entire sentence before changing the verb.
โœ… Check that the subject and verb agree.
โœ… After will, always use the base form of the verb.
