I strongly support continuing the bus service because the neighbourhood will continue to grow, and it provides affordable transportation for residents who depend on public transit.

One of the main reasons I prefer this option is that this is a newly established neighbourhood, and the number of residents is expected to increase over the next few years. Although only a small number of passengers currently use the route, many new houses and apartment buildings are still under construction.

For example, Greenwood Avenue has recently welcomed several families, and additional residential developments are expected to be completed soon. In contrast, cancelling the bus service now may leave future residents without convenient public transportation. Another significant reason I support Option A is that many residents cannot afford to rely on ride-sharing services every day.

New immigrants, international students, and senior citizens often have limited financial resources and depend on public transportation to travel to work, school, grocery stores, and medical appointments. If they have to spend around $20 every day on an Uber ride just to reach the nearest Sky Train station, their monthly transportation costs could become a significant financial burden. Overall, Option A is clearly the more forward-thinking, accessible, and community-oriented choice. Although the route currently serves fewer passengers, maintaining the bus service will support future population growth while ensuring affordable transportation for everyone.
